Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) outside the hamlet of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 1,884 metres (6,181 ft). The lake has a surface area of 50 hectares (120 acres). When it is full, it reflects a distinctive shade of azure blue. The unique colour is due to the refraction of light off the rock flour deposited in the lake on a continual basis by surrounding glaciers. / Only available for departures between June and October. 초등학교 저학년 아이를 동반한 우리가족, 동생네 가족과 함께한 여행지로 벤쿠버를~ 캐나다 하면 떠오르는 록키산맥을 여행하고자 지인의 추천으로 오케이 투어를 선택했었어요. 처음 만났던 캐서린 가이드님의 모습은 참 인상적이었어요. 우선 아나운서 같은 목소리와 투어버스에 함께오른 분들을 보며 우리~ 식구들~❤️하고 불러주시는데 따뜻함이 느껴지고 여정에 함께 하는 낯선 사람들이 친근하게 다가왔어요^^모든 연령층을 아우르는 카리스마와 유쾌함이 있으신 분이었어요. 아는 만큼 보인다!! 긴 시간 여행지로 이동하며 그 곳의 지역적 특성, 지역의 역사,사람들, 산과 바다, 동식물들의 특성 등등 이야기를 풀어주시는데 모든 이야기들이 흥미롭고 여행지에 대한 배경지식을 쌓고 캐나다 전반을 이해하는데 큰 도움이 되었답니다. 9살 저희 아들은 어느순간부터 캐서린 가이드님을 캐!선생님 이라고 불렀어요. 이유를 물으니 캐!나다에 대해 알려주는 캐!서린 가이드님이란 뜻이래요^^ 그만큼 어린이들도 이해하기 쉽고 재미있고 흥미롭게 이야기를 들려주셨지요. 여행 중간에 다큐멘터리, 영화, 지나가는 풍경을 바라보며 들려주신 음악 모두 좋았어요. 흐르는음악과 풍경을 바라보며 조용히 여행을 돌아보는 시간도 갖을 수 있었어요. 날씨가 좋아 5대 호수를 모두 둘러보았고 서비스 투어도 있었어요. 가이드님이 날씨에 따라 일정 조율해주시며 최고의 여행을 만들어주십니다!!👍🏼 여행 내내 큰 비 없이 날씨가 무척 좋았아요. 높은 지대를 여행하기에 순간순간 구름이 끼기도~반짝 해가 나기도~부슬부슬 비가 내리기도 했지만 모든 순간이 소중했답니다. 맑은 하늘의 설퍼산을곤돌라로 타고 올라가보니 강한 바람이 불어 옷을 꽁꽁 싸매며 강한바람을 느끼며 깔깔거리며 사진도 찍고 따뜻한 핫초코를 마시기도하고, 내려가는 곤돌라에서는 부슬부슬 잠깐 내리다 그친 하늘에 예쁜 쌍무지개가 반짝 빛나는 풍경을 만나기도 했어요. 변화무쌍한 자연의 모습을 온전히 즐겨보세요. 그날의 날씨보다 여행안의 작은 에피소드를 만나 행복을 느껴보세요^^ 하루 10시간 이상 이동이 힘들었지만 항상 놀라웠고 대단함을 느꼈던 알버트 기사님!! 알버트 기사님은 네비 없이도 모든 길을 아실 정도로 베테랑이고, 강한 멘탈과 체력을 가지신 분이라고 느끼며 장 시간 운전을 안전하게 해주심에 진심으로 놀라고 감사했답니다.^^ 가족여행 오시는 분들 아이와 함께 오시는 분들 밀플렌도 추천드려요. 짜여진 일정 속에 낯선곳의 음식점을 찾기도, 대기해서 음식먹고 다시 모임 장소 이동하기 쉽지 않으시다면 신청해보세요. 아이들도 잘먹는 메뉴였고 캐서린 가이드님이 다른 여행 가족들은 물론 아이들과 함께 하는 가족들 까지도 세심히 배려해주시고 챙겨주셔서 또한번 감동했답니다. 머무르는 숙소 역시 쾌적하고 편안했어요👍🏼 저희 부부는 웅장하고 거대하고 아름다운 자연에 늘 놀라워했고, 9살 아이는 빙원의 찬바람을 느끼며 눈을 만지고, 흘러가는 구름, 호수의 물과 돌들, 흙과 나뭇잎을 작은 두손으로 모아보며 자연과 여행을 느끼고 있었어요.아이의 시선으로 아름다운 자연을 느끼는 시간이었습니다. 자연을 몸으로 느끼며 웃는 아이의 웃음을 영상으로 담을 수 있어 감사했습니다. 아이는 호수에서 카약을 타보고 싶다며 또다른 버킷 리스트를 만들었어요. 이렇게 우리 가족은 다음 여행을 기약해봅니다^^ 오케이 투어를 선택하는 우리~ 식구들~❤️ 여행에서 만난 아름다운 무지개 함께 보며 남은 여행 아름답고 행복한 추억 많이 만드시길 바라요!!

이번 5월에 다녀온 캐나다 록키 여행은 정말 말 그대로 "인생 여행"이었어요. 사진으로만 보던 그 멋진 풍경을 직접 눈으로 본다는 건 정말 감동 그 자체였습니다. 맑고 푸른 호수, 하얗게 눈이 쌓인 웅장한 로키산맥, 상쾌한 공기… 모든 순간이 한 폭의 그림 같았어요. 그런데 이 여행이 정말 특별했던 이유는 이동욱 실장님 덕분이에요. 이 실장님이 단순히 설명만 해주는 분이 아니라, 마치 우리를 가족처럼 따뜻하게 챙겨 주시고, 유머도 넘치셔서 항상 웃음이 끊이질 않았어요. 가끔 퀴즈도 내니까 잘 들으셔야 합니다. 우리가 답을 못 맞추면 꼭 목 캔디를 입에 물으시더라고요. ㅋㅋㅋ 또한 가는 곳곳의 분위기에 맞춰 음악도 틀어 주셔서 노래도 신나게 불렀습니다. 여행 내내 분위기가 너무 좋아서, 함께한 분들과도 금세 친해질 수 있었답니다. 여행 일정도 알차고 배려 깊게 짜여 있었고, 호텔도 아주 좋았고 음식도 이 음식 저 음식 다양하게 먹을 수 있어서 힘들 틈 없이 즐겁고 편안하게 다닐 수 있었어요. 밴프, 레이크 루이스, 콜롬비아 아이스필드 등 하나하나가 감탄 그 자체였고, 곳곳에서 이 실장님이 알려주시는 소소한 이야기들도 여행을 더 풍성하게 해줬어요. 저는 록키 산맥이 그렇게 웅장할 줄은 꿈에도 생각 못했어요. 끝이 없더라고요. 저는 캘리포니아에 살아서 눈을 본지가 꽤 오래 됐는데 눈이 나무에 하얗게 쌓이면서 반짝반짝 빛나는 것을 보니까 제가 ‘겨울왕국’에 있는 것 같았어요. 그래서 만져보고 먹어봤어요. 맛은 없더라고요. 개인적으로 콜롬비아 아이스필드가 가장 멋졌지만, 레이크 루이스에서 Yuhki Kuramoto의 ‘레이크 루이스’ 피아노 곡을 들은 것이 가장 인상에 남습니다. 그 3분동안 천당에 있었던 것 같았어요. 이 여행을 통해 정말 많은 힐링을 받았고, 지금도 사진만 보면 미소가 지어져요. 다시 또 가고 싶은 곳, 그리고 다시 꼭 함께하고 싶은 이 실장님과 우리 여행 친구님들!!! 정말 감사드립니다. 그 분들이 없었다면 아마 이처럼 멋진 여행이 아니였겠죠!!! "캐나다 록키"는 반드시 직접 경험해봐야 할 감동입니다.
